It is estimated that around a quarter of the US workforce works remotely occasionally or full time, meaning it is quite common for your workforce to at least have a couple employees that are globetrotting the world and are not working in the office. But there are actually a lot of benefits to that — from higher productivity to better employee retention rates. <\/span><\/p>\n

Here are a few perks of letting your workers be remote. <\/span><\/p>\n

More productivity.<\/b><\/h3>\n

Everyone knows when they are most productive. Some people are morning people, some work best at night. Allowing your employees to work remotely, and therefore, set their own hours lets them tap into that \u201cgolden\u201d time. So instead of making them work during the day, like most 9-5 office jobs, instead trust them enough to work when they are at their best.<\/span><\/p>\n

Keep from having to retrain people.<\/b><\/h3>\n

Sometimes things come up and an employee has to move away from the office. Or sometimes they just want a change in location. Either way, it is time consuming and expensive to hire a new person and train them. So instead, figure out a way to let your employee work remotely. This will save some headaches for everyone involved.<\/span><\/p>\n

More diversity.<\/b><\/h3>\n

When you have employees from all over the world, it is more likely that you will have different opinions and ideas, not to mention work styles. As long as there is some discipline on behalf of the workers and the company, this should be a positive thing. Having different ideas, viewpoints and work style usually mean more creativity and problem solving. So allow people from anywhere in the world to join your team by working remotely from their home.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attract more people to your company.<\/b><\/h3>\n

When you have the option to work from home, or really anywhere in the world, you are more likely to have more people apply. Why? Because there are no longer boundaries holding people back. Even if you live hundreds of miles away from the office, as long as you are dependable, trustworthy and a hard-worker, then there shouldn\u2019t be an issue. You will find a bigger pool of applicants, ultimately letting you pick and choose the best suited candidates to grow your brand to its fullest potential. <\/span><\/p>\n

Less distractions.<\/b><\/h3>\n

This one might seem far-fetched. Less distractions when you are working from a beautiful place like Chiang Mai, Thailand? Yes please. But hear me out. In fact, most people who work remotely are good at sitting down and getting all their work done in a quick, efficient manner. At the office there are way more distractions, these typically come in the form of meetings and coworker drama.<\/span><\/p>\n
